DHHS: WORKFORCE TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Under the direction of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Workforce Training and Development designs, delivers and/or facilitate various types of trainings (e.g., onboarding, regulatory, certification, skill-based, mindset and practice, internships) for DHHS employees, contracted employees, students/interns and community-based providers.

Community Safety for Care Workers
Course Description:
This training program will prepare social service workers to operate safely in the communities that they serve. The class will focus on home visits but will also address other meeting places in the community and transporting clients in a vehicle. This program is designed to keep care workers physically, organizationally, legally, and emotionally safe from workplace violence when working in the community and conducting home visits.
